Your car’s footwells can be magnets for dirt and dust. But keeping them clean doesn’t mean expensive bespoke rubber mats.

Got any old mats or carpets at home? You’ve got a way to make great, fun, inexpensive coverings for passenger footwells (don’t use them on the driver’s side—they need more grip). Get the whole family to help choose these new interior colours! Or every member of the family can even choose their ‘own’ mat. Just measure the space, cut the old material to fit and voila—fun, funky footwells! If they get too grimy, simply throw them away and start again.
